Is having a sweet tooth a bad thing? Part I
We often feel guilty about having a sweet tooth because we feel as though it means that we are not healthy or that we have failed in some way.
I unpack feelings about having a sweet tooth and whether there is any truth to the stigmas that accompany it.
I touch upon what having a sweet tooth means and when we know when we have had too much sugar.
I also share behavior patterns that are related to food (sugar) addiction listed on the DSM-5 Diagnostic Scale.
This is the first of two episodes.
At the end of this two-part series, I will answer the question whether having a sweet tooth is bad.
Please stay tuned for the 2nd part, where are discuss:
- How does sugar work against our fat loss goals?
- Can we satisfy our sweet tooth with foods other than refined sugar?
AND
- How do we build our meal plans to accomodate our sweet tooth without impacting our fat loss goals?
Thanks for listening!
