Baked Cinnamon Maple Pears
Ingredients:
 
  • 3-4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for topping
 
Instructions:
 
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the pear halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Brush or drizzle the cinnamon maple mixture over each pear half, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the pears are tender when pierced with a fork.
  6. Optional: During the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle chopped nuts over the pears for added crunch.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve warm, and feel free to top with a dollop of the chocolate avocado mousse for an extra special treat!
